Description of the process
1.The plant material is chopped and grinded in specific size.
2.Ethanol is pumped through a specially designed percolator where the grinded plant material is placed.
3.A flow of solvent is maintain through the percolator to ensure a good extract of the plant.
4.The material is allowed to stand in the percolator for 24 hours and drawn off on the side of the percolator.
5.Water was pumped through the same percolator for a second extraction and repeated step 3 and 4. The aqueous phase was collected as of step 4.
6.The same process for both ethanol and water phase extraction were repeated several times as desired. The fractions were collected and blended to the required standard.
